Developmental/Special Education
What is Developmental/Special Education?
Developmental/Special Education specializes in supporting and understanding the many different challenges young children go through. These include, but not limited to, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
A Special Instructor (SI) will typically be assigned to screen/evaluate a child’s eligibility. Their goal is to help children have more learning opportunities, which can help them to reach their full potential, while also minimizing the impact of developmental challenges of their overall development.
Special Instructors also work closely with the child’s parents/caregivers, which can allow the experiences of the services to be carried out to the child’s daily life. The primary goal of Developmental/Special Education Instructor is to help each child’s developmental needs and meet their milestones for their age.
